1. How do I register on Pakadekha.com?
 
Membership Registration on Pakadekha.com is very simple. The registration process takes you all the way through the step by step procedures. It is a two stage process. At first you need to log in to www.pakadekha.com.  Then on the right side of the home page you will find the required REGISTRATION FORM and fill in the same as accurately as possible.  Then, by clicking on the ‘Submit’ button you will receive a confirmation that an email has been sent containing the Activation Code. Open your email, click on the link and enter the Activation Code. This process verifies your email id. Thus you find that all profiles herein are 100% email verified profiles. This completes the Registration Process. Your Profile ID also gets generated and you become a member of Pakadekha.com and can enjoy scores of benefits from this Portal.
 
 
2. Since the registration process asks for email id, which email id should I put?
 
It is always suggested to put your personal email id. Also, you may kindly note that your profile creation is based on your email id. Thus the email id which you enter cannot be changed or substituted with any other email id against your specific Profile ID.
 
 
3. While registering, I got an error message that says that my email id is already registered with Pakadekha.com.  What this means?
 
As stated above, every profile posted on Pakadekha.com is associated with only one unique email id. You may have received this error message because you or someone else has already posted a matrimonial profile using the said email id. If this happens we request you to select another email id of your choice, but ensure that it is personal one.
 
 
4. How do I register for a relative or a friend?
 
In the registration process itself, under the menu option ‘Profile For’ you specify the relationship to the person for whom you are registering. However, the correspondence from Pakadekha.com will be with the email that is provided in the registration form.

8. What is a Profile ID? Is it important?
 
A Profile ID uniquely identifies your profile on Pakadekha.com. Every member of Pakadekha.com has a unique Profile ID. The Profile ID appears at the top of every profile. It starts with PD. The profile IDs are system generated.
 

9. How do I change my password?

To change your password you have to log in to pakadekha.com.  Then select the link ‘Password Management’ from ‘My Profile’ option from left side Main Menu panel. Once ‘Password Management page opens up you will be asked to enter your email id and submit the same. Then password change link will be forwarded to your email id. Open your email and click on the said link.  The system will ask for the new password and confirm the same. Kindly ensure that password as selected is in compliance with the Password Policy.
 
 
10. Are there any specific DOs and DON'Ts while creating a matrimonial profile on Pakadekha.com?
 
Do give brief information about yourself in the column “Know More About Me”. Do not provide your contact details here to protect your own privacy, or else your profile shall be blocked. Do not make commercial use of the portal by registering as a member.  Please do not include content that is vulgar, pornographic or racist. Be as detailed as possible while creating your profile. After your Profile is activated, be sure to update your Profile and also fill in the Companion Profile section.  Do state and mention all facts. Ensure whatever is disclosed is true and correct. This creates your positive impression. Also upload photograph(s). The more information you add and select there are more chances of receiving responses.
 
 
11. How do I log in once I have registered with Pakadekha.com?
 
Ans. It is very simple. Please go to www.pakadekha.com. The home page opens up. On the right side of the page, click ‘Member Login’.  Please type in your Email id & Password and click on the 'Submit' button. You are immediately logged into the site and taken to ‘Your Home Page’ - the page which displays your Profile Statistics.
 

12. After opening my portal there is a Profile Completeness Bar. What it means?
 
The Profile Completeness Bar shows the completeness status of your Profile considering the information it is able to disclose. Thus after registration you need to update your Profile by adding and selecting lots of other inputs to provide your complete picture to the prospect at the other end. That’s why we always suggest completing your profile and this Status Bar just gives you an indication in this aspect to satisfy your sole purpose.  The more information you give, the more details can be collected and inferred by other members. This will help a potential match to understand you better, know your likes and dislikes thus help you get the right and most compatible response.
 
 
13. How do I change / edit / update my profile?               
 
To change / edit or update your profile, log in to Pakadekha.com with your Email ID & password and select the ‘Edit’ Menu option. This will open and display all available fields and options. After updating or making any changes that you may want, click on the 'Save' button to save your changes. The changes should conform to set standards. If it’s otherwise, your profile may be blocked or even suspended by our Team.
 
 
14. Can I change all information on my Profile?
 
You can change almost all the information related to your Profile. However, you cannot change your Email Id, your Name and Surname, your Date of Birth and your Gender. All these details remain valid and binding as entered while registering your membership. Thus we request you to provide all these details and inputs cautiously for ultimate success.
 
 
15. How do I delete my Profile?
 
We hope that you need to delete your Profile because you have found your companion. We also suggest that once you have found your partner you should in fact delete your Profile. To ‘Delete’ your profile, log in to Pakadekha.com with your Email ID & password and select and click on the ‘Delete’ Menu option either from Top corner or from Left Menu Panel. It will seek your confirmation. To confirm you need to click the ‘confirm’ button or else click ‘cancel’ to change your decision and exit. You may kindly note that Profile once DELETED cannot be activated again. Also, any unutilized subscription amount, if any, shall not be refunded or adjusted.

16. What is Companion Preference?
 
Companion Preference is nothing but the partner preference which describes your preferences or choices for prospective partner. Other members can view your partner profile and if they think that their profile matches your preferences, they can ‘Whisper’ you. Also, Pakadekha.com’s e-matching service matches your Companion Profile with other members' personal profiles and sends you a list of those matching profiles by email at periodic intervals.
 
 
17. Can I change/ edit / update my Companion preferences?
 
Yes, you can to change / edit / update your Companion preferences. To do the same, you need to log in to Pakadekha.com with your Email ID & password and select the ‘Edit’ Menu option. This will open and display all available fields and options. Then scroll down to “Companion Preference” section. After updating or making any changes that you may want, click on the 'Save' button to save your changes. The changes should conform to set standards. If it’s otherwise, your profile may be blocked or even suspended by our Team.
 
 
18. How do I protect my Contact Details?
 
This is an exclusive feature available only to PAID members. To protect your contact details first log in to pakadekha.com. Then select the link ‘Edit Profile option either from top menu bar or from side menu panel. Once your Profile page opens up then you scroll down to ‘Contact Information’ section. There you will find a check-box on ‘Password Protected’. To protect your contact details, please check the said check-box. Any interested member if they wish to view your contact details or information has to request you for a password. Such password request shall reach your notification box. An email shall also be sent to your registered email id intimating you about the said request. You may either accept or decline such request. However, if accepted, another notification containing the password shall reach the other member to enable them to view your images and if declined the same shall also be informed. An email shall also reach the sender intimating him / her about such acceptance or declining of the request.  Further, another email shall also be sent to your email id, for your information and record complying the Privacy Policy, intimating you about the password which has been sent to the other member on your acceptance. We always suggest protecting your contact details at first instance and revealing the same to selected members only. To avail these features please update your profile to PAID Membership NOW.
 
 
19. How do I unprotect my contact details?
 
This is also an exclusive feature available only to PAID members. To unprotect your contact details or information first log in to pakadekha.com. Then select the link ‘Edit Profile option either from top menu bar or from side menu panel. Once your Profile page opens up then you scroll down to ‘Contact Information’ Section. There you will find a check-box on ‘Password Protected which you have checked in earlier. Now to unprotect please uncheck the said check box. Once unchecked, all paid viewers can view all your contact details. However you may kindly note that free members are unable to view your contact details even if it is in unprotected mode.
 
 
20. Can all viewers view my contact details?
 
No, only paid members can view your contact details. Free members cannot view the same even if it is not protected by password.
 
 
21. Is it compulsory to upload a photo?
 
It is not compulsory to upload a photo either to register as a member or to continue your membership either as a FREE member or even as a PAID member. However, it is a fact that adding a photograph increases the chances of response by almost 10 times than what a normal profile without a photograph would have got. Not only this, we also have the feature to create your own album by adding multiple photos depending on the status of you membership subscription. This number varies from 2 to 10. Thus if you have not yet uploaded your photo please upload it NOW.
 
 
22. How do I add a photo to my profile?
 
To upload a photo to your profile first log in to pakadekha.com. Then select the link ‘Edit Profile option either from top menu bar or from side menu panel. Once your Profile page opens up then you scroll down to ‘Profile images’ section and then start uploading your photo. You can upload up to a maximum of 10 photos depending on the status of your membership.
 
 
23. In what format should I add my photos?
 
You can add up to ten photos to your profile based on your membership status.
Please ensure that Photos are in JPEG format only.
 
 
24. How do I edit / change / delete my photo profile?
 
To edit / change /delete photo(s) added to your profile first log in to pakadekha.com. Then select the link ‘Edit Profile option either from top menu bar or from side menu panel. Once your Profile page opens up then you scroll down to ‘Profile images’ section and then start the editing process either by deleting existing images and uploading new ones or adding more images based on your prescribed limit as per the membership subscription plan.
 
 
25. Is there any photo validation process?
 
At present all images which you upload gets reflected on your profile immediately. Since you have agreed to the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy it is believed that all such uploaded images are proper and actual complying the said Terms and Policy. However, later, if at any stage or time it is found that such Terms and/ or Policy have been violated, you shall be requested to make good the same or if still the abuse continues the said profile may be blocked or even suspended by our Team at pakadekha.com. In the event of blocking or suspension of the profile, balance of subscription amount, if any, shall not be refunded or adjusted.
 
 
26. How do I protect my photo?
 
This is an exclusive feature available only to PAID members. To protect your photo first log in to pakadekha.com. Then select the link ‘Edit Profile option either from top menu bar or from side menu panel. Once your Profile page opens up then you scroll down to ‘Profile images’ section. 28. What is photo security?
 
This is a feature by which each photo as uploaded by you will have a pakadekha.com watermark image. This helps to protect the photo from any misuse. Also photos as viewed by members cannot be saved or copied in their system.
 
 
29. How to add a horoscope?
 
To add a horoscope to your profile first log in to pakadekha.com. Then select the link ‘Edit Profile option either from top menu bar or from side menu panel. Once your Profile page opens up then you scroll down to ‘Religious and Social Information’ section and then upload your horoscope. Ensure that the uploaded file is in JPEG format only.
 
 
30. Is there any horoscope validation procedure?
 
There is no such system for verifying horoscope. Horoscope as and when uploaded shall be viewable to other members immediately.  Since you have agreed to the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy it is believed that the horoscope as uploaded is proper and actual, complying the said Terms and Policy. 32. How do I unprotect my horoscope?

Then select the link ‘Edit Profile option either from top menu bar or from side menu panel. Once your Profile page opens up then you scroll down to ‘Religious and Social Information’ section. There you will find a check-box on ‘Password Protected’ which you have checked in earlier. Now to unprotect uncheck the said check box. When unchecked, your horoscope is open to all for viewing.
 
 
33. How to delete / modify my horoscope?
 
To delete / modify horoscope added to your profile first log in to pakadekha.com. Then select the link ‘Edit Profile’ option either from top menu bar or from side menu panel. Once your Profile page opens up then you scroll down to ‘Religious and Social Information’ section.  Then on selecting CHOOSE FILE option a pop-up selection window opens up. Select CANCEL to delete any existing uploaded file and go for fresh selection if any.
 
 
34. What is ‘Whisper’?
 
Whisper is an automated message system to intimate other members that you are interested in their profile. It is the first step towards your communication with other members.
 

35. How will I know if a member has accepted/declined my ‘Whisper’?
 
To know the status of your ‘Whisper’ you need to log in to pakadekha.com.  Then select ‘Notifications’ from My Messages option from left side panel to find any such notifications.  Also from your ‘Profile Statistics’ page you can come to know total number of members who have accepted your ‘Whisper’ request or have declined the same.
 
 
36. How will I know if any member has whispered me?
 
To know the said status you need to log in to pakadekha.com  Then from your ‘Home Page’ or ‘Profile Statistics’ page you can come to know the total number of ‘whispers received’. On clicking the link respective profiles of members get displayed and then you can either accept or decline such requests.
 
 
37. Will my contact information be revealed to the member I have whispered?
 
No. Only an automated message expressing your concern will be sent to the member without revealing your contact information.
 
 
38. How do I chat?
 
This is an exclusive feature available to PAID members only.  You can chat with other members online only if both of you are paid members. Then after login, you can search to find the "Who's Online" to get the list of members online. Then go to the member's profile and click on "Chat" link to start chatting.
 
 
39. How do I contact a Pakadekha.com member?
 
We would like to say that only members can contact other prospective members. All members irrespective of their membership status at first instance if they wish to contact other members need to ‘Whisper’ them. To do that you can either click on the Whisper' button in the summary profile of a user which is featured in search result page or use the Whisper' button in the detailed profile of that user.
 
Secondly, you can also send personalized messages or own communication to other members, however this feature is for PAID members only and thus FREE members cannot avail this feature. However all FREE members on updating their membership status to PAID one can continue to avail the feature. The benefit of personalized messages is that here members can exchange each other’s contact details and also communicate to know each other better. This also increases the chances of response from the member so contacted. So we always advise to upgrade your membership to PAID one.
 
At present, towards our introductory offer, we have not yet launched our membership schemes. Thus all members are free now and can avail some of the features of PAID membership too. This benefit is for ONE MONTH only.
 
 
40. How do I get the full contact details of the person I contacted?
 
To do that, you need to upgrade to a PAID MEMBERSHIP. If you upgrade to a PAID MEMBERSHIP, you can send personalized messages to other members as said above.  Also being PAID MEMBER you can view the contact details of other members as featured in search results.
 
 
41. What is e-Match?
 
E- Match is a Pakadekha.com service that sends you profile details that match your companion preference as set by you. It is thus advisable to fill in your companion preference very carefully for perfect and accurate match. This feature makes your selection process easier helping you to realize your dreams. This result is emailed to your email id at periodic intervals.
 
 
42. How can I search for my prospective companion / partner on Pakadekha.com?
 
You can search for your companion on Pakadekha.com as per our different search criteria. We have Quick Search option as well as normal Profile Search option. Also, if you know some specific Profile IDs you can avail our search option by Profile Ids too.

Normal Profile Search is the most comprehensive search available on Pakadekha.com. This search allows you to search your desired companion / partner based on multiple criteria and features.
 
To perform a normal ‘Profile Search’ first log in to pakadekha.com. Then select the link ‘Profile Search’ from the Search option either from top menu bar or from the left panel Main Menu option. Once the search page opens up put the desired inputs of your preference and choice to get proper search results.
 
To perform a Search by Profile ID log in to pakadekha.com. Then select the link ‘Search by ID’ from the Search option either from top menu bar or from the Main Menu Panel on the left side and enter the required Profile ID to get the result.
 
 
44. What is ‘Favourites’ section?
 
This is the first step of filtering your search result. While viewing search results, definitely you will come across profiles which you like most and may realize that it meets your companion preference choice. To decide further you may add these profiles to your favourites list by clicking “ADD FAVOURITE” button to view them later. This process enables you to refer and go through such profile details later according to your convenient time. Thus you don’t have to conduct similar search operations every time to find details of the profiles which you liked at the time of initial searching.  However to view latest profiles fresh search is recommended.
 
 
45. How do I view Favourite profiles?
 
To view your favourite profiles you have to log in to pakadekha.com.  Then select the link ‘My Favourites’ from ‘My Prospects’ option from left side Main Menu panel. Once ‘My Favourites’ page opens up you can view the profiles you have added to your favourites.
 
 
46. What is meant by short listing of profiles?
 
While viewing search results, definitely you will come across profiles which you like most and you may instantly decide to proceed further. These profiles you may segregate separately and click the ‘SHORTLIST PROFILE’ button.  This we may call the second stage of filtering your search result.  You may follow the same procedure for profiles, if any, added to Favourites List. In fact from shortlisted profiles you can make the final selection. However to view latest profiles fresh search is recommended.
 
 
47. How do I view short-listed profiles?
 
To view your shortlisted profiles you have to log in to pakadekha.com.  Then select the link ‘My Short-Listed Prospects’ from ‘My Prospects’ option from left side Main Menu panel. Once ‘My Short Listed Prospects’ page opens up you can view the profiles you have short-listed.
 
 
48. What is meant by Ignore Profile?
 
While conducting search you may come across many profiles being displayed every time you conduct the search which do not meet your preference criteria.  If you do not wish to display these profiles you may ignore all these profiles.  Profiles once ignored will not get displayed again.  However the ignored profile members can view your profile details and may contact you.
 
 
49. What is meant by Block Profile?
 
Similarly, while conducting search you may come across many profiles being displayed every time you conduct the search which do not meet your preference criteria.   If you do not wish to display these profiles or even if you do not want these profiles to contact you then you may block all these profiles. Profiles once blocked will not get displayed again. Here, the blocked profile members also will not be able to view your profile details.
 
 
50. How do I ignore / block profiles?
 
To ignore / block profiles you have to log in to pakadekha.com. Then conduct your ‘Profile Search’. When search results are displayed you will find for each profile display there are separate buttons for ‘Ignore Profile’ or ‘Block Profile’. On clicking the same these profiles will get either ignored or blocked.
 
 
51. Can I undue ‘Ignore’ or 'unblock' profiles later on?
 
Yes, you can do the same. You have to log in to pakadekha.com and on such respective profile page please click on ‘Undue Ignore’ or ‘Unblock Profile’ button. Once clicked the profiles are restored back to their original status.
